Medical gas compliance is always evolving. New requirements are introduced with each new edition of NFPA 99. CMS and other Accrediting Organizations such as TJC & DNV do not adopt every new edition of NFPA 99 that is released. However, it is still important for facilities to be aware of the direction these codes are taking so incremental changes can be implemented and facilities can be ahead of the compliance curve. EMGS takes all of these requirements into consideration when performing annual, semi-annual and quarterly PM / testing activities for healthcare facilities.
Medical gas annual testing is required for certain components within a piped medical gas system, such as central supply systems. There are many other requirements, some are in time frames defined by the healthcare facility, while others are defined by manufacturer’s recommendations or other codes. EMGS has the knowledge to help you craft an ongoing medical gas testing and preventative maintenance plan that can be relied on year after year.
EMGS has the systems and processes in place to help ensure healthcare facilities meet their compliance goals and what is minimally required by CMS.
